About Us

Welcome to Oko Solid Fuels, a family run company based in the North East of England, dedicated to producing premium sawdust briquettes to heat your home. 

Our journey began when energy prices started to dramatically increase. We wanted to find a better and cheaper way to heat our home, whilst also finding a more planet friendly solution. We didn't like the idea of trees being cut down solely for the purpose of putting on our fire, but soon learnt about the craft of sawdust briquettes and that's when Oko Solid Fuels was brought to life. 

Our sister company uses the highest grade kiln dried hardwoods which are sustainably sourced to manufacture furniture components. The sawdust produced during this process is then used to make our high quality Oko briquettes.
